Our client was recently awarded a $200K settlement for a negligent security case. Our client was stabbed at a gas station by a patron/loiterer. At first, the gas station only offered $5,000.00 for damages because they wrongfully believed our client was contributorily negligent. Through further research, we were able to show that prior violent crimes like stabbing occurred at this exact location numerous times. Our investigator was even able to capture video of inadequate security measures at this location. We successfully proved negligent security, reaching a settlement that more adequately acknowledged the financial burdens and pain and suffering from our client’s stabbing.
